Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Rhyvi Media collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have kept it in plain English rather than legal language, because a policy you cannot read protects nobody.
01 What we collect
We only collect information that you type in yourself. There are exactly three places on this website where that can happen:
- Contact form — your name, email address, phone number, subject and message
- Newsletter signup in the footer — your email address, nothing else
- Blog comments — your name, email address and the comment you write
Our web server also keeps standard access logs, which record the IP address a request came from. That is normal for any website and is used only to keep the site running and secure.
There are no accounts on this website, and we never ask for payment details here.
02 Why we collect it
To reply to you. That is genuinely the whole reason.
If you send an enquiry, we use your details to get back to you about it. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we use your email to send you our updates. If you leave a comment, your name is shown next to it once we approve it — your email address is never published.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
03 Where it is stored and for how long
Enquiries and newsletter signups are saved on our own web hosting. Blog comments are stored in our website database. Access is limited to the people who work on the site.
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them — to deal with your request, or to keep a record of work we did for you. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments stay until you or we remove them.
04 Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking on these pages.
The site sets one session cookie. Its only job is to remember your form submission long enough to show you a confirmation message afterwards. It disappears when you close your browser.
05 Things loaded from other companies
Our contact page shows a Google Map of our office. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. That part is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours.
Apart from that map, every page on this site loads its images, fonts, styles and scripts from our own server. Nothing else phones home.
06 Your choices
Your information is yours. At any time you can:
- Ask us what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it if it is wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to stop sending you the newsletter
- Ask us to remove a comment you left
Just email us at info@rhyvimedia.com and we will take care of it. You do not need to give a reason.
07 Keeping it safe
We take sensible precautions: access to the website’s admin area and database is restricted, and the forms on this site check submissions before accepting them.
No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that we do not collect more than we need in the first place — which is the best protection there is.
08 Children
This website is meant for businesses and the people who run them. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
09 Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles your information — for example if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the date shown alongside it.
10 Related terms
Our Terms & Conditions cover the rest of your use of this website and of our services. This privacy policy forms part of those terms.
